Set Preference: General Tab

Preference Setting: Default Sort Order

This preference is responsible for the order of shipments displayed on the main shipment page. This will set the standard across all user's environments in the portal.

  • You can sort the shipments by Pickup Date (from earliest to latest or vice versa), Delivery Date (from earliest to latest or vice versa), Delivery Status (from On-Time to Late status or vice versa), Shipment Status (from Pending to Delivered or vice versa), Origin City, Delivery City, Priority Shipment (from high to low or vice versa), Weather (minor to severe or vice versa), or by Current Position (from newest to oldest or vice versa).

Auto-Refresh

When a user is logged into the portal, there is a refresh rate that can be set for the main shipment page. This indicates the rate at which the shipment page will continuously refresh.

  • A user can define the setting by choosing from seven options, starting at every minute up to once an hour. The rate of frequency will refresh the page and load any data points that Visibility has received in the defined interim time. Note that each time the page refreshes, it will take the user back to the main page they were on, but will not save any changes if the user is in the middle of an edit.

Shipment Expiration

This section defines how long a shipment will appear in the active shipment cards section on the Shipments page.

  • The "Shipment Expiration" number of days defines how long a shipment will remain on the active shipments page before it moves over to the History page for shipments in a non-delivered status. The selected number of days count starts on the last date of the scheduled shipment window. 21 is the max number of days that can be selected.

  • The "Delivered Shipments to History Page" number of days defines how long a shipment will remain on the active shipments page before it moves over to the History page for shipments in a Delivered status. The selected number of days count starts on the last date of the scheduled shipment window. 21 is the max number of days that can be selected.

Manual Shipment Creation

  • This preference will allow a user within the organization to have the ability to manually create shipments in the portal. If this section is disabled, shipments can only be created through one of our integration methods, such as EDI, CSV, XML, or API.

Temperature Alerts

  • If tracking temperatures, an admin can define the range of the acceptable temperature range. A user also has the ability to set the range of hours or minutes to send an alert if the temperature range is out of the defined period. Note that the temperature notifications need to be set up in the Notifications pages in order for this setting to be active.

Suggested Routes

  • If enabled, each shipment will display a suggested blue route line in the Full Details map page view. This shows a main route from the origin to destination where we can expect to see position events posted.
