Active Shipments - List View
Active Shipments - List View
List View is commonly used as an alternative view of active shipments over our default Card View as the ability to interact with a grid of information over the visual nature of the Card or Calendar View pages can feel more familiar to certain user groups.
The "Columns" tab allows users to define their own custom set of header values to display. Users can choose to turn on/off header values as well as reorder the display of these headers their liking.
Searching Shipments, Counter Display, Filtering, Saved & Shared Views all carrier over from Card to List View pages and work identically across both pages.
Accessing Shipment Details is completed by clicking on "More Actions" and choosing "Shipment Details".
The Shipment Details page overlays on top of the existing List View page in the same manner as it does on the Card View page so the user doesn't lose their place once they finish with the shipment they are currently taking action on.
Shipment Quick Actions:
There are (8) Shipment actions that can be quick selected from the "More Actions" menu and one commonly used quick action "Manage Driver" that always shows on the Shipment Row for easy access.
These Shipment Quick Actions are consistent across Cards and List pages. Calendar and History pages have different display options which will be discussed in their respective articles.
These Shipment actions are:
1. Manage Driver - Allows you to associate a driver phone number to a shipment for Visibility Drive mobile application tracking. Also allows driver name lookup if your organization uses the Driver Profile service as denoted in our API documentation. Also allows SMS messaging to the driver once a phone number is associated with the shipment.
2. Edit Times - this dialog allows users to manually input Appointment Times, ETAs, Arrival, and/or Departure times for each stop
3. Add Reference Numbers - This dialog allows the user to easily add Tractor and/or Trailer reference numbers. Many organizations use these inputs for tractor or trailer telematics integrations.
4. Update Shipment Status - Allows users to manually change the Shipment Status
5. Share Shipment - This action pops up a dialog letting the user know that the Shared Shipment URL has been copied onto their clipboard for sharing.
6. View and Add Notes - This dialog allows users to add Public and Private notes to a Shipment and/or a Stop. When a note is present, these are displayed on both the Shipment Card and the Full Details page under the Notes icon as shown below. If there is a driver phone number associated to the shipment, users can also use this dialog to SMS message their driver about something specific about a shipment and/or a Stop.
7. View and Attach Documents - Similar to Notes, you can attach documents at the Shipment level and/or at the Stop level, depending on your organization's needs. When a document is present, these are displayed on both the Shipment Card and the Full Details page under the Documents icon as shown below.
Clicking on any document uploaded will automatically download that document to users to view.
8. Add Priority Shipment Flag - This quick action allows users to denote something as a high priority shipment, which then allows different sort/filter options as well as provides a visual indicator on both the Shipment Card as well as the Full Details page.
9. Shipment Details - This quick action opens up the Full Details page for the shipment as an overlay on top of their existing view. You can also open up the Full Details page by
Shipment Export:
Similar to the Card View page, shipment export to CSV is provided as an option in the bottom left corner of the List View page.
