Set Preference: Status Tab

Preference Setting: Delivery Status Display

This preference is responsible for the Delivery status you will see on the shipment page.

  • "Delivery Status to the Final Destination": This status will apply to Pick And Drop shipments, and those with assigned intermediate stops. The delivery status will only update based on what the ETA for the final destination is for that shipment.
  • "Delivery Status to the active Stop": The active stop is related to shipments with multiple stops (intermediate) assigned between the Origin and Destination. This delivery status will apply to the next stop on the carrier journey.

Delivery Status Rules

You can customize what your organization considers shipments to be EARLY, ON TIME, IN JEOPARDY, or LATE using this preference setting. You can input the hours and minutes for each of the related categories to define the status of the shipments. You may also define the statuses by mode of transportation (TL, LTL, Parcel, Rail, Ocean, or Unknown). You can also choose to turn off EARLY or IN JEOPARDY shipments altogether. These settings will apply to all future shipments, as well as your dashboard metrics.

  • By checking "My organization considers Early shipments to be On Time", shipments that are delivered Early will be automatically aggregated with the shipments that are On Time.
  • By selecting "Track EARLY", shipment ETA's that are calculated before the defined ON TIME status, will be tagged as EARLY.

  • Shipments are tagged as ON TIME when the calculated ETA is between the hours/minutes defined BEFORE or AFTER the scheduled time of the shipment.

  • Shipments are tagged as IN JEOPARDY when the calculated ETA is after the hours/minutes defined for the scheduled time of the shipment.
  • Shipment will be assigned a status of LATE after the scheduled time of the shipment and after the defined hours/minutes for the IN JEOPARDY status.

Auto Set Shipments to Delivered

  • Shipments will be tagged as DELIVERED when the driver arrives at the consignee by Geofence or Carrier arrival. This status is not dependent on a departure event.

Tracking Lost Rule

  • If this setting is enabled, a shipment will be tagged as TRACKING LOST based on the defined hours/minutes where the shipment has not received a position event. This setting can be defined by the mode of transportation (TL, LTL, Parcel, Rail, Ocean, and Unknown).

Delivery Status Geofence

  • The default geofence radius is set to one mile and is used if carrier arrival/departures are not being captured or if the stop arrival/departure default is set to Geofence preferred (please see next section). This setting is set at the administrative level and is applied to all shipments that do not utilize fixed locations or it is applied if the fixed locations do not have specified geofences defined (see Fixed Locations documentation).
  • You may use the slider or click on the integer to change the default radius to your preferred radius. The maximum radius is five miles.

Delivery Status Geofence

  • This setting selects the default arrival/departures the organization will see in Freight Portal. If the selected default is not received, then the deselected method will be used until it the selected method is received.

Drop Trailer Rules

  • If the Drop Trailer Rules are enabled, then the ON TIME status will be overridden with the hours/minutes defined here. In addition for the setting to be enabled, these shipments must be flagged as a "Drop/Swing Trailer" in the shipment creation file for this setting to activate.
  • "Same day pickup/delivery" will consider shipments as ON TIME if the shipment is delivered within 24 hours of the scheduled time window.
  • "Picked up/Delivered" between the hours/minutes specified will tag the shipments as ON TIME.
