Notifications Overview

Notifications:

Notifications are alerts that will send from the portal based on shipment parameters set up by the user. When the parameter is met, a notification will be triggered. To Navigate to the notification page, you will want to click on the "Notifications" button in the leftmost menu. 

The user will be directed to the Notifications page where they are able to create a notification, search for existing notifications, or modify an existing notification.

1. Create a notification: The user will name the notification and then select Shipment Level or Stop Level notifications. The difference between the level of notification are the contacts assigned the the notifications and the types of notifications that are sent at the specified level.

  • The shipment level notifications will allow the user to add any mobile numbers or email recipients to receive the notification. The notification types at this level are Shipment Status Change, Delivery Status Change, ETA Change, Order Exception Added, Temperature Out of Range, and Dwell Time Alerts.

  • The stop level notifications will allow the user to notify all of the stop contacts (that are assigned to the shipment at shipment creation) by text or email. These are the only individuals that may receive stop level notifications. The notification types at the stop level are Shipment Status Change, Delivery Status Change, ETA Change, and Dwell Time Alerts.

2.  Search a notification: a user is allowed to search existing notifications in the search icon. Usually, users will search by the name of the notification or by the recipients assigned to the notifications. Existing notifications can also be viewed and sorted by the options below:

3. Modify a notification: A user can select an existing notification and modify its parameters and click save to update or add recipients to a notification.
